Denver Human Services is an agency governed by the City of Denver. Penny May and Jeff Holiday at the 2013 Latino SummitIn 2005 Denver Human Services developed a Strategic Plan to provide services to our community in the most efficient and effective ways possible.  Services are both financial and protective in nature. Eligible Denver residents in financial need may apply for services which include federal food, cash and medical benefits. It also includes child care, child support, energy, rental and burial assistance, all designed to help families and individuals toward financial self-sufficiency. 

Protection & Prevention services are provided via child, youth and adult protection services, along with community focused programming. Our community programming includes veterans’ services, homeless services, and drug awareness campaigns. We seek to strengthen individuals, families and communities with the services provided and are dedicated to working with our partners in the community. We welcome volunteers and partner organizations in becoming involved in our important work to service Denver.
